Customers

Customer accounts: switching them on, what shoppers can do and the customer list.

On this page

Customers is where you switch customer accounts on and see the shoppers who opened one. With an account, a shopper sees their orders in one place and checks out without typing their details again.

Switch accounts on

  1. Open Customers in the menu.
  2. Turn on Customer accounts.
  3. Press Save changes.

A person icon now appears beside the cart in your shop's header. Shoppers press it to Sign in or Create an account.

What shoppers can do

  • Register with their name, email, phone (optional) and a password, or press Continue with Google or Continue with Facebook where shown.
  • See their orders: each order's number, date, status and total, and its items when they open it.
  • Check out faster: name, phone, email and delivery address are filled in. The address of their first order is saved to their account for next time.
  • Change their details and password, or reset a forgotten password by email.

At checkout, a shopper who is not signed in sees Have an account? Sign in. After signing in they come straight back to checkout. Shoppers can still order without an account.

The customer list

The list shows every account with its email, phone, how many orders it placed, the date of its last order and when it was registered. Search by name, email or phone. Press the number of orders to open that customer's orders in Orders.

Orders placed while signed in are linked to the account. Orders placed without signing in are not, even with the same email.
