Marketplace
List your shop on shop.datastore.ge and its app, the 2% fee on card payments and how it is billed.
On this page
Marketplace puts your shop on shop.datastore.ge and in its mobile app, where shoppers search the products of every datastore.ge shop at once, filter them by price, shop, collection and options, and buy them with their marketplace account (email, Google or Facebook). It is off until you switch it on.
How it works
- The marketplace shows your active products, the same ones your storefront shows. Hidden products stay off it.
- Prices are your own. Products priced in another currency are compared in lari at the day's rate.
- The order lands in Orders like any other, marked with where the shopper came from. Card payments go to your own bank account, through your Bank of Georgia or TBC connection, as usual.
- A shopper's cart holds products from several shops, but each shop is checked out on its own.
The marketplace fee
- The 2% is counted on the full amount the shopper paid. Your bank's own commission is not taken off first, and your bank still charges it as usual.
- Cash orders owe nothing, and neither do orders from shoppers who reach your shop any other way (your own link, social media, search engines).
- If an order is cancelled before its fee is invoiced, the fee is dropped.
Show your shop on the marketplace
- Open Settings → Marketplace.
- Read the fee notice at the top of the page.
- Switch on Show my shop on shop.datastore.ge.
- Tick I agree that datastore.ge takes 2% of every card payment for orders that come from the marketplace. You cannot list the shop without it.
- Press Save changes.
Your products appear on the marketplace right away. While the shop is listed, the page shows the date you accepted the fee, the fees not invoiced yet, and a link to See your products on shop.datastore.ge.
Marketplace orders
Orders checked out on the marketplace, and orders from shoppers who open your shop from it, show Came from in their details: shop.datastore.ge or The marketplace app. Once such an order is paid by card,
its Marketplace fee appears there as well.
How the fee is billed
The fees of paid marketplace orders add up until your next plan invoice, and are added to it. On the invoice, Of which marketplace fees shows the part that is fees; the rest is your plan. You pay the whole invoice as usual on Billing.
Take your shop off
Switch off Show my shop on shop.datastore.ge and press Save changes. Your products leave the marketplace at once. Fees already earned are still billed on your next invoice. To list the shop again, you agree to the fee again.
